In fact, our Class of 2023 graduates achieved the highest ever average starting salary — a 12.25% increase from the previous year. Record-Breaking Career Outcomes Scheller MBAs achieved new levels of career success at top companies. Class of 2023 graduates had an average starting salary of $154,679, a 12.25% increase from the previous year, with 96% employment within three months from graduation.

An MBA Experience That Builds Leaders Top-Ranked Career Services The Jones MBA Career Center team is dedicated to guiding students through their career transformation. With a small ratio of students to career advisors, the Center is mindful of the changing interests of MBA candidates seeking jobs and the evolving needs of MBA employers. Whether it’s making a career switch, starting a new venture, or leveling up, the Center team helps you get there. Here are some of the opportunities to engage.

Career Development Opportunities Workshops: Our Career Development Workshop is a weeklong orientation prior to the start of school that continues into the fall semester. The CDW is designed to help students get a head start on summer internship and post-graduate job searches. Throughout the school year, students meet for workshops with peers and advisors where they learn key career search skills. MBA conferences and career fairs: Career advisors and students participate in several Georgia Tech career fairs and the nation’s largest association and industry career fairs.

Career resources: Students can take advantage of the many resources and programming we provide like interview prep, Career Leader (a self-assessment tool used by more than 260 top business schools to identify student career interests), and more. Alumni career resources: Career support is lifelong. MBA alumni career services include career advice and workshops, Georgia Tech Alumni Association groups, and more.


Curriculum for a Tech-Driven World In addition to a 21-credit core curriculum that builds a foundation in business fundamentals, the Scheller MBA program offers 14 specialized, STEM-designated concentrations. Specializations serve as helpful guides to navigating elective coursework and signify areas of specialty to future employers. Scheller MBAs develop deep expertise in emerging business areas through hands-on projects with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, incubators, and startups. Guest speakers, networking events, and industry panels help round out the experiential learning experience.

Business in Practice Scheller’s location in the heart of Atlanta and Tech Square plays an integral role in developing productive relationships with companies, startups, and innovation centers. Organizations partner with Scheller through Business in Practice practicum courses, capstone projects, international trips, internships, and more. Our Business in Practice practicum courses give students the opportunity to put classroom knowledge to the test against real-world issues and problems. Jones MBA Career Center Impact The Jones MBA Career Center is ready to work with students every step of the way to provide guidance and support throughout the program. This career transformation timeline gives students an idea of what to expect when working with the Center.

Pre-MBA Summer Preparation In May of your acceptance year, you’ll receive important homework that will help you clarify your career goals, learn about networking and recruitment opportunities, and more. Once you submit your summer assignments, you’ll meet your advisor and start outlining your MBA studies and career prep process.

Your First Year Immerse yourself with the Scheller community during the two-week orientation in August. You’ll meet new classmates, the MBA program team, and prepare for your internship search. Throughout the first year, you can participate in career development workshops, employer information sessions, career fairs, and more. You’ll start practicing for internship interviews in October, and engage in ‘mock’ interviews which will fully qualify you for the peak interview season from November to February. Summer internships go from May to August.

Your Second Year Your second year will continue with increased opportunities for major-specific elective coursework, international practicums, and a focus on acquiring a full-time job offer. Our advisors continue to support you in your second year with resume feedback and more.
