TI:GER® Teams Dominate GT BPC

 BPC Winners GoNow

Congratulations to TI:GER team GoNow for their victory in the Georgia Tech Business Plan Competition. Not only did GoNow receive $10,000 for their first place finish, they also won the elevator pitch competition. First year team FloMera finished third and also won best in show at the product showcase. LymphaTech, another first year team, won the alumni award at the product showcase. Read more >>>

Dr. Marie Thursby Named Regents' Professor

Founder and Executive Director of the TI:GER program, Dr. Thursby was honored as one of only two Georgia Tech professors to be named Regents' Professors in 2012. Dr. Thursby started at Tech in 2002 and is currently the Hal and John Smith Chair of Entrepreneurship in the Scheller College of Business. 

TI:GER continues partnership with LMU


As part of the grant from Georgia Tech's Fund for Innovation in Research and Innovation (GT FIRE), TI:GER® hosted a seminar in Atlanta for a group of PhD students and faculty from Munich.

The seminar included a kick off talk by Stephen Fleming, Georgia Tech Vice President of the Enterprise Innovation Institute, a special screening session by the Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA), and attendance at Start-up Riot. 

TI:GER PhD's Find Success in GTRIC

Congratulations to Akhil Srinivasan and Stephanie Ducanson for their success in the Georgia Tech Research and Innovation Conference. Akhil went on to win $5,000 in the poster competition. Thanks for representing TI:GER so well!

TI:GER Highlighted in Bloomberg Video 

Alongside their rankings, Bloomberg BusinessWeek released a series of videos filmed on location at their top-25 business schools. The video for the number 23 ranked Scheller College of Business prominently features current second year TI:GER team Tungo. Check out the video!

TI:GER Team Selected for Stanford E-Bootcamp

David Sotto, first year TI:GER PhD in Bioengineering on the MediMend team, was accepted to present and compete at the BASES Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Stanford. Each year they select 100 of the top student entrepreneurs to present their products in a competitive environment, including a product showcase and pitch competition, attended by investors and Silicon Valley stalwarts. 

Heather Kim Featured in Scheller College of Business Profile

The EquipCodes system () allows industrial companies to quickly and easily add mobile capabilities to their products.

Customers scan EquipCodes with their smartphones or tablets to gain on the spot access to product information, replacement part re-order capabilities, and enhanced customer service options.

AccelerEyes Diversifies


Continuing on its profitable growth path, AccelerEyes has expanded its business to include services as a complement to their product offerings to drive revenue growth. 

Syzygy Ready to Launch Product


Great news for Syzygy as they go to market in Q3 with their earplugs after finalizing a pilot program with a distributor! They've also been hard at work with IP protection- they've had a US patent issued and filed several more in the past few months.

Couptivate Continues to Grow

Founded by TI:GER alum David Magier (JD 2006), Couptivate is a product for those who love Groupon and LivingSocial, but hate keeping track of their deals, particularly deals that are about to expire.
