Enhancing Meaningful Creative Challenges (EMC²) in Post-Tenure Life

Founded by the interdisciplinary Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research,  and the Office of the Provost  in 2011, Celebrating Tenure at Georgia Tech: Enhancing Meaningful Creative Challenges (EMC²) commends and celebrates professors who have obtained the tenure status. The celebration includes a reception hosted by President G.P. "Bud" Peterson and First Lady Valerie H. Peterson and a weekend workshop retreat. During the weekend, participants are presented with activities that exercise leadership and explore meaning and creativity as it pertains to their career. Importantly it provides a framework for pondering questions like, "what does tenure mean for my research?" or "what do I really want to be known for?" This retreat is ultimately designed to maximize reflection, community building, and networking. For more details please contact  or .
